Lesson I Learned From Afghanistan Travels

There is a certain innocence in children regardless of their environment. Always curious, always trusting, always worth the effort.

r military on a foreign mission, it does not happen without in some way impacting the children there. I spent a year supporting our troops in the North Eastern regions of Afghanistan. Though my focus was insuring the quality of life for our soldiers at remote forward operating bases and combat outposts, it was difficult to do so without becoming a small part of their mission. With their support I was able to organize a trip into a remote village to deliver school supplies to the children. What a life changing experience for me, a glimmer of hope for the children.
I enjoy sharing life lessons or perspectives on different places I have been that are unique experiences. If you are like me and love to share, perhaps you may also want to share via a blog. It is not difficult to do if you use this platform.

    1. Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

The platform is actually Word Press. I am a member of a network marketing opportunity and getting this blog all set up for me is an option within the opportunity. It has several themes I can customize and it comes pre monetized with my links. I really love that it is all taken care of for me and the templates that are available to help you put together a blog quickly. Basically a Word Press platform. You can get more info here if you need it: http://shytowngroup.com

Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the images on this blog loading? I’m trying to find out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any feed-back would be greatly appreciated.
