I was not always an entrepreneur though I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and loved the lifestyle that freedom on your terms affords. I must confess that not being an entrepreneur traveling the world was never on a whim and more often than not involved sacrifices most are unwilling or unable to make. It started in the military where you seldom had a choice of where you went but still provided me with the opportunity to see a huge portion of the world while serving my country and I am most grateful for that experience. This led to a career as a civil servant where I continued to travel the United States. I even had the opportunity to serve in several arduous environments in the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan. This was not without huge sacrifices yet the experiences was unforgettable and I would do it all over again if the opportunity presented itself.
I left that life behind when I retired but the desire to travel to places I have not yet seen still fills my heart. I will continue to see the world but it will now be on different terms. I turned to the internet to find a way to live life on my terms, to travel at leisure, and to do it with out the proverbial 9 to 5 grind. This was my first exposure to entrepreneurship and the lifestyle entrepreneurs enjoy. There are many different ways of becoming an entrepreneur I just found blogging to be an effective way to achieve an entrepreneurial lifestyle.
I will preface this with being an entrepreneur does not come without its unique set of sacrifices albeit not in an arduous environment. I ended up choosing a network marketing opportunity that not only allowed me to continue to lead a lifestyle I had grown accustomed to, but it also allowed me to help others to do the same. Coming from a career of service helping soldiers for the better part of my life it was an easy transition. Choosing an entrepreneurial lifestyle blogging has given me the opportunity to experience a different kind of freedom and provided me access to the world on my terms.
How is your entrepreneurial spirit? is being an entrepreneur something that resonates with you? You will not know the answers until you ask yourself the questions. For me life has been a series of destinations from shores of France and Scotland, to the deserts of Iraq, to the mountainous regions of North Eastern Afghanistan, and to the cobble stone streets of Europe. One of the best ways to discover your entrepreneurial spirit is by starting your own online business and I found that starting my own blog was what appealed most to me at the time.
