If you are new to network marketing remember what Napoleon Hill said; ” The starting point of all achievement is desire”.
This is as true today as it was then if you are confused about where to start in your network marketing business this should be at the top of your list. Bob Proctor said something about conceiving, believing, then achieving. I am sure the principal is much the same. In order to find success we have to believe that we can actually achieve it. The good thing is that we do not at that point actually have to know how to go about doing it. It would seem ludicrous to assume anyone would go into any type of business believing they were going to fail. But a high percentage of internet marketers have exactly that belief.
That is why most quit an opportunity before they ever give it any chance of working. You may even be among that group I know I was for a very long time. So much so that I would sign up for opportunities and ask for a refund before I even got through the introductory videos or implemented any strategy for making even the first sale. It finally sunk in that I needed to want success more than I had learned to accept failure. In addition to that I learned that desire is a bit deeper than that and it also involved a “WHY”. I knew that I desired to be successful but did not know that my main reason for failure was not so much that I did not desire success. It was more that I had no underlying clue as to why I needed or wanted to be successful. That made all the difference in the world in my approach to network marketing.
When Einstein said “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value”. He was probably not referring to network marketing.
However, this needs to be an integral part of your mindset if you expect to be successful in network marketing or any other online venture. In network marketing down lines, teams, or armies are synonymous and are the life blood of success for all practical purposes. A failure to understand this concept will have a significant impact on taking your business to the next level, and the next level is where the money is really made. So what wisdom can we garner from Einstein’s quote?? Well first and foremost I believe we need to embrace becoming a man of value but what does that entail in the network marketing arena. I believe it means you have to provide value to your down line as a mentor, as a coach, and as a leader.
This is not to be taken as a suggestion that you need to carry your team in anyway. It merely suggests that you take them by the hand and lead them or guide them. They will still need to do the walking with their own two feet. As a leader you need to play the role of mentor and coach. Your main role should be to provide a safe environment for your team. To provide any necessary training and support to insure they start off on the right foot. To provide inspiration, motivation, and encouragement to keep them going when it gets tough. Last but not least to lead by example you should not ask your team to do anything you are not willing to do. In becoming a man of value you will become a man of success.
“If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself”. Henry Ford could have been thinking of network marketing when he uttered these words.
What does that mean in network marketing; in simple terms it means like an marching army with a common destination. It means everyone has to be on the same page. Your members have to be on board with your mission, goals, and commitment. You also need to be onboard with those of the organization you are promoting. It means from the founder/CEO to the latest sign-up everyone has to get on the same page and the sooner the better. The tough part really comes when you are really talking about a volunteer army and not an army getting ready for battle.
You can not tell your army what to do and when to do it and hear the sound of a thousand boots clicking together in unison. That is not the way it will happen if at all. It will start by you as a leader painting the vision and leading the way. You need to be the one out in front, the one sounding the battle call, the one leading the charge. It will start with you being a great mentor and paving the path to success, mind you they will still have to walk down that path. Your job as a mentor is simple you need to inspire them to get on path. You need to be the coach that encourages that army and supports that army when things get tough. You will lose soldiers along the way but the ones you have enlightened will still be with you when you cross the finish line to success.
My goal is your success
